2026 WAI NUI RACE WEEKEND: August 8+9

 

SATURDAY AUGUST 8 

Koa’s Cup OC6 race – sign-up link to follow

  • “hat” race with youth and Kupuna. All names go into a hat, youth and kupuna separately, and 3 youth and 3 kupuna are drawn to make up OC6 teams. This race is a fun race, 500-1000m sprint, aimed at developing youth participation.
  • other clubs are welcome to join
  • Race distance: 500-1000m
  • 9am race registration + race briefing
  • 10:30am race start
  • 12noon – 1pm complimentary refreshments & race results
  • Lunch: Enjoy some good food prepared by our favourite food truck – tickets available soon and link will be posted here

  • 5pm        Wai Nui Members Market and Hawaiian language lessons
                             See what our members have to sell and support their small businesses
  • 6:30pm  Wai Nui Luau & Boat Blessing

  • 7pm       Polynesian Dance performance

Registration for Wai Nui members: $45

Wai Nui members: go to Harborhood, then Dashboard, then Bookings, and select the type of boat you would like to paddle
